Uniqueness and diversity – two key epithets of Doček 7527 in Novi Sad. Novi Sad, as the ‘Serbian Athens’, celebrated its main characteristic – interculturality, by connecting Serbian cultural heritage with European intangible cultural heritage.
Citizens of Novi Sad and its guests had a chance to enjoy diverse programme and concerts on 13 January, within Doček 7527, which were implemented in the evening, only in closed spaces, and were spread across the city at more than 40 locations. This is the proof that the culture is the way of life and that the richness of diversity has always been fostered in Novi Sad.
This multitalented and authentic artist connects classical music, jazz and traditional music with his special skills and leaves the audience breathless. Roby Lakatos, one of the most famous violinists in the world, performed within Doček 7527 and gave a masterly performance in the Serbian National Theatre in Novi Sad on 13 January.
In order to celebrate the year when the city will become the European Youth Capital, Novi Sad gathers artists from Poland, USA, Russia, China, Slovenia, Montenegro, Bosnia and Herzegovina, connecting not only different meridians, but different genres and locations.
