Doček in Novi Sad: Ticket Sales for 13 January Begun

Doček in Novi Sad, the best European Trend Brand in the field of culture, for the sixth year in a row will be a special audio-visual experience, combining two New Years, 31 December outdoors and 13 January indoors, as the crown of the European Capital of Culture. Promotionally priced tickets for the 13 January concerts went on sale today and are available in Gigs Tix ticket offices, as well as on their website.

Tigran Hamasyan, one of today’s greatest jazz pianists will perform in the City Concert Hall, and the Dutch musical diva of Iranian origin and winner of the award at the Berlin Video Music Awards 2020, Sevdaliza, and this year’s representative of Serbia at Eurovision Song Contest and winner of the Elle Style Awards for 2022, Konstrakta, along with the band Zemlja Gruva, will perform at the Serbian National Theatre.

The African R’n’B princess Nneka will perform in the Synagogue, one of the most recognized European world music violinist, Lajko Feliks, will hold a concert in the Reformed Christian Church, while the world-famous ensemble Divanhana will perform in the ‘Laza Kostić’ Grammar School. The sound of rock is brought to Fabrika by Shortparis, stars from London Haelos will perform at the Youth Theatre, Sana Garić at the Svilara Cultural Station, Đorđe David and Ivana Peters at the Barka Cultural Station, the legendary YU Grupa in an unplugged edition in the ceremonial hall of the NIS company.

Doček programme was provided by the NIS company. Classical music virtuosos Ke Ma nad Shihan Wang will hold a concert at the Novi Sad Theatre, a singer whose voice breaks boundaries Tijana Bogićević will arrive at the Cultural Centre of Novi Sad, and the best jazz band from Serbia EYOT at the Egység Cultural Station. The Croatian live techno band ABOP will perform in Radnički Dom, and the fusion of sounds will be brought to the Rumenka Cultural Station by the Kal band. A singer of spiritual music Danica Crnogorčević will also perform at the Serbian National Theatre.

As part of Doček on 13 January, at the Bukovac Cultural Station, a programme for children will be implemented by the Visoko C association, which has performed more than 500 shows. The great girls who make up the tambura band La Banda will also perform there. Admission to their performances will be free.

In order for the concerts to really be turned into experiences, on 13 January, together with the performers, renowned artists will work on it, including the director Aleksandar Nikolić, two professors from the Faculty of Technical Sciences, Mia David and Tanja Milovanović, as well as institutions such as is the Academy of Arts in Novi Sad and many others.

Doček on 31 December in the Suburbium of the Petrovaradin Fortress — free admission

For the second year in a row, Doček on 31 December in Novi Sad has been moved from the main town square to the Suburbium of the Petrovaradin Fortress, where through the collaboration of performers and visual artists, that baroque gem will be transformed into a completely new ambiance. Novi Sad will be taken into 2023 by the famous British trio Kosheen, then the winners of the BRIT Award — Stereo MC’s, a favorite of Berlin clubs, DJ Biesmans, one of the largest and most popular vocal groups in the world — Perpetuum Jazzile, but also famous local alternative bands Repetitor, Obojeni Program, Monohrom, and others.

The specificity of Doček in Novi Sad will be completed by three spectacular exhibitions inspired by the great world-class Serbian scientists Mileva Marić Einstein, Milutin Milanković and Nikola Tesla, at three locations — in the City Museum of Novi Sad at the Petrovaradin Fortress, Studio M and the Suburbium of the Petrovaradin Fortress. While the Mileva and Milutin exhibitions are works by the artist Dušan Jovović, PhD, the Tesla Light Gallery will be created by artists Dejan Stojkov and Anđelko Popić, Chida Yasuhiro from Japan, one of Artdex ‘Nine Brilliant World Light Artists’, Pavla Beranova from the Czech Republic, winner of awards for interactive installations and best lighting design, Dorijan Kolundžija, who runs the studio for new media ‘Gallery 12’, one of whose projects is the Museum of the Future in Dubai, as well as the Associations of Fine Artists of Vojvodina (SULUV) and others. The exclusive sponsor of the exhibition ‘Mileva: We Are One Rock’ is Erste Bank.
