Doček 2023 is in the Suburbium: Programme and Schedule

Novi Sad will once again celebrate its authentic interculturality through Doček, the best European Trend Brand in the field of culture in 2021 and nominee for the best European festival in 2022, which will be organized in Serbian Athens for the sixth time.

For the second year in a row, Doček has been moved from the main city square to the Suburbium of the Petrovaradin Fortress, where on 31 December, through the collaboration of musicians and visual artists, that baroque jewel will be transformed into a completely new ambiance. The music programme will be held on three stages in the Suburbium, while the visual programme will take place at the Fortress itself, as well as in Studio M.

Novi Sad is the only city that will enter the new year with as many as three extraordinary exhibitions inspired by great Serbian world-class scientists – Mileva Marić Einstein, Milutin Milanković and Nikola Tesla. New practices developed in the field of new media arts, as part of the ‘Novi Sad – European Capital of Culture’ project, made it possible for Doček in Novi Sad, on 31 December, to be a special treat due to a different visual experience. In three locations, the brilliant minds of science and their creativity will once again shine through art.

Admission is free to all music performances, exhibitions and other visual programmes in the Suburbium, Petrovaradin Fortress and Studio M.
