Bukovac Cultural Station

The blend of the cultural heritage of the former cultural centre and contemporary trends in culture, ecology and sports make up the identity of the Bukovac Cultural Station. Trying to meet the innovative approach to recreation and the cultural potential of the space for culture, a new model of consumption of cultural content was created which Bukovac now offers to the local population and all the people of Novi Sad.

Large green areas provide the opportunity for concerts and other outdoor programmes, and the nearby field for adrenaline sports provides one of the backbones of the cultural station’s content. The interior of the former cultural centre with old projectors enables film screenings from the original film tapes and acquires a new purpose in the interpretation of the cultural heritage of the region.

The cultural and artistic society ‘Milica Stojadinović Srpkinja’ works at the cultural station with developed international cooperation. Bukovac is aimed at active fellow citizens interested in ecology, sports and culture and aims to be a new place to escape the city crowd.

The children’s opera ’Hansel and Gretel’ will be performed in the Bukovac Cultural Station on 13 January at 5 p.m.

The lyric of the tambura and the melody of this region have found their way to new generations thanks to the La Banda group that will perform at the Bukovac Cultural Station, at 8 p.m., as part of the Doček 7531 programme. On New Year’s Eve, the group members will share their free spirit and their pure love for music with the audience.
