La Banda

La Banda

The lyrics of the tamboura and the melody of this climate have found their way to new generations thanks to the La Banda band, which will perform at the Bukovac Cultural Station on 13 January at 8 p.m. as part of the Doček 7531 programme. On New Year’s Eve, the members of the band will share their free spirit and pure love for music with the audience.

The tamboura band La Banda was founded at the end of 2013 with the desire to perform popular, film, copyright and disco music on tambouras, as well as selected songs of the folk genre. Although they come from different parts of Serbia, the band members live in Novi Sad, and perform throughout Serbia and in neighbouring countries. Due to their rich concert experience, their performances are programmed and last about two hours, and the repertoire is adapted to the occasion and the audience.

Contrasting yet harmonious, La Banda is a fusion of tradition and youth, girls and tambouras.

La Banda received the Audience Jury Award and the Award for the most beautiful new song ‘U Mom Zagrljaju’ at the Tamburica Fest 2014 in Novi Sad, as well as the First Award for the best orchestra and the Award for the best soloist instrumentalist – Milana Milanković, on the 14th Starčevačka tambourica festival.
