In an authentic Vojvodina settlement near Novi Sad, there is the Rumenka Cultural Station, which continues and improves upon the previous work of the cultural centre by the same name. With the new cultural station, Rumenka becomes one of the most important places for culture in Novi Sad and its surroundings.
Rumenka was mentioned for the first time even before Novi Sad, back in 1237. Although in the hinterland of a big city, Rumenka has a rich cultural and historical heritage of its own. The population of Rumenka is extremely diverse ethnically, which is also an important cultural determinant.
Oriented towards all ages and national communities living here, the new cultural station continues to promote the cultural heritage of this region, artistic and amateur works, with new programming and production support within the network of cultural stations.
Straight from the largest international festival stages, including even the New York pub at which legendary Leonard Cohen and Dolly Parton sang, the band Kal is coming. In the intimate atmosphere of the Rumenka Cultural Station, Doček 7531, on 13 January at 9 p.m. will reveal to the audience what Roma music with elements of tango, the Middle East and Jamaica sounds like.
