The construction of the City Concert Hall, the first in the history of Novi Sad, shows that the European Capital of Culture is changing the cultural life of the city, and that it is becoming part of its history. The specificity of this long-awaited space for concerts is that it is one of the few examples in Europe that combines two important institutions – Music and Ballet School.
The modern building of the City Concert Hall in Cara Lazara Boulevard has thus become the long-awaited home for the two schools with a rich tradition, which nurtured generations of young talents. The ‘Isidor Bajić’ Music School got its residence after more than a century, and the Ballet School after 70 years.
The city concert hall covers 15,000 square meters. The largest hall has 480 seats, and there are two smaller ones, with 250 and 180 seats, which significantly expands the concert capacities in the city.
