Ke Ma, Shihan Wang and Silk & Wind duo

Classical music virtuosos Shihan Wang and Ke Ma together with Silk & Wind duo – Wanzhe Zhang and Dejan Sinadinović, who amazed the world, are coming to Doček, on 13 January at 8 p.m., with an exclusive performance at the Novi Sad Theatre!

Ke made her debut in 2017 at Wigmore Hall under the auspices of the Kirckman Concert Society, she has given concerts across the UK, Italy, France, Germany, Poland, Hungary and the US. As a soloist highlights have included appearances with the Shenzhen Symphony Orchestra, Sichuan Symphony Orchestra, Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, Young Musicians Symphony, Suffolk Symphony Orchestra and the Miskolc Symphony Orchestra conducted by Tamás Gál at the Palace of the Arts in Budapest.

During 2020, Ke appeared as one of the soloists at the Gold Medal competition and performed the Tchaikovsky Piano Concerto No.1 with the new low latency technique and collaborated with Guildhall Symphony Orchestra under the baton of Maestro Richard Farnes. In addition, it’s a privilege to perform at the York Minster as the first Chinese pianist ever in the prestigious venue, where she was also invited to discuss the influence of pandemic on musicians and was featured on BBC television programme ‘Look North’.

A committed chamber musician Ke has undertaken a Tunnell Trust Award tour of Scotland, given a recital at Wigmore Hall and recorded music by Vieuxtemps for Champs Hill Records with violist in Timothy Ridout. She has collaborated with the Cuarteto Casals at Santander International Piano Competition.

Ke studied at the Royal Academy of Music in London with Christopher Elton, Michael Dussek and Andrew West, where she received her Bachelor and Master degree with distinction in 2017. Now, she is currently pursuing her Doctoral study at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama with Professor Joan Havill, Rolf Hind and Dr. Alexander Soares.

Shihan Wang

Shihan Wang was born in Beijing in 2005 and began taking violin lessons with Zhiqiang Wang at the age of four. At the age of nine he was admitted to the Central Conservatory of China, where he studied with Hong Wang. Since 2021 he has been starting his bachelor’s degree with Feng Ning at the Hochschule für Musik Hanns Eisler Berlin.

A winner of multiple international competitions, Shihan won the 2nd prize and the prize for best baroque performance at the Kloster Schöntal International Competition for Violin in Germany in 2015 at the age of ten. In following years, he earned major prizes at international competitions, including the 1st prize at the London Bridge Music Academy Competition in 2016, the 1st prize at the Louis Spohr International Violin Competition for Young Violinist in Germany in 2016, the 1st prize and the best capriccio prize at the Zhuhai Mozart International Violin Competition in 2017 and the 3rd prize at the Piccolo Violino Magico International Competition for young violinists in Italy in 2018. In 2019 Shihan was an active participant in the Kronberg Academy Violin Masterclasses & Concerts, where he took masterclasses with Ana Chumachenco and was awarded the Ana Chumachenco Prize. In the same year, he was awarded the 2nd place at the Cooper International Violin Competition in the USA. In May 2021, he has been awarded the 1st prize of the China Preliminary Auditions of International Tchaikovsky Competition for Young Musicians.

Shihan debuted in 2011 at the age of six. As a soloist, he has worked with conductors and musicians such as Gemma New, Marco Comin, Lavard Skou-Larsen, Giancarlo Guarino, Cho-Liang Lin, Maxim Vengerov, Friedemann Eichhorn, Guoyong Zhang, Yi Huang, Farncis Kan, Lin Chen and Mengmeng Huang. He has perfomed with major orchestras such as the Cleveland Orchestra, State Orchestra Weimar, I Musici de Montréal Chamber Orchestra, Salzburg Chamber Soloists, Italy Central Europe Orchestra, Macao Symphony Orchestra, Qingdao Symphony Orchestra and Kunming Nie Er Symphony Orchestra.

Shihan plays on a violin loaned to him by the China Foundation.

Wanzhe Zhang, Soprano is the President of Universal Artists Foundation, Honorary President of Boston Chinese Musicians Association and Vice-President, Chinese-Serbian Center for Scientific and Cultural Exchange

She is a founding member of ‘X+YZ’ chamber group with violinist Quan Yuan since 2011, and ‘Silk & Wind Duo’ with pianist
SINADIN (Dejan Sinadinović) since 2020.

Mrs. Zhang is the first Chinese Ph.D. candidate in Classical Singing at the Faculty of Music in Belgrade and pursuing the
terminal degree under the guide of Serbian Soprano Katarina Jovanović.

Sinadin (Dejan Sinadinović) is a pianist and a music pedagogue. He is a full professor of piano at the Faculty of Music of the University of Arts in Belgrade, Serbia. He completed graduate studies in pianoperformance at the Faculty of Music (Belgrade, Serbia) under the tutorship of Arbo Valdma (a formerstudent of Bruno Lukk who studied piano with Arthur Schnabel and Paul Hindemith). He also pursued postgraduate studies at the Moscow State Conservatory P. I. Tchaikovsky with a supervisor Eliso Virsaladze (a former student of Yakov Zak and Heinrich Neuhaus).

He took part in numerous chamber music performances and during last ten years gave more than one hundred solo piano recitals throughout Europe in notable music venues (Italy, France, Spain, Poland, Germany, Belgium, Switzerland, United Kingdom, Montenegro, Greece, Northern Cyprus, Denmark, Russia, Romania). He also performed in Canada, America and China. Most recently, he performed with Synergia ensemble in Croatia (Dubrovnik Summer Festival, Osor Musical Evenings and International Music Festival in Zadar). He has collaborated with various orchestras accross the world working with conductors such as Mladen Jagušt, Vassily Sinaisky, Vladimir Kiradjiev, Rolf Beck, Jean-Francois Antonioli and others. Among others, he performed with W. Lutosławski Philharmonic (Wrocław, Poland), Rzesow Philharmonic (Poland), Orchestra Sinfonica di Roma (Rome), Transylvania State Philharmonic Orchestra (Romania), as well as with all serbian philharmonic orchestras.

He is a founding member of Memnon Duo with soprano Katarina Jovanović. He is a founding member of Silk & Wind Duo with soprano Wanzhe Zhang.

Dejan Sinadinovich stood behind several music festivals and series of concerts such as Piano Chamber Festival in 2005 (Belgrade), Emil Hayek Festival (Belgrade) and The Spring Piano Feast (Belgrade). Owing to that, he established a reputation of an adept programme director.
