Shortparis

The indie rock stars, the band Shortparis, which is widely known for its live performances, will share an exclusive experience at the site of Novi Sad’s industrial heritage, in the renovated Fabrika, on 13 January at 11 p.m., as part of Doček 7531!

Don’t miss the audio-visual event in the minimalist ambience of Fabrika, bringing the avant-garde band that breaks streaming records on all platforms and amazes all over again with its electronic soundscapes!

Shortparis are on the right track to deserved international acclaim and have already been announced as ‘the best Russian live act’. Led by the charismatic frontman Nikolai Komyagin from Saint Petersburg, the band continues to build reputation due to their astounding ritualistic performances and dark, electro sound, while ‘irrational, spastic dance notes’ connect with ‘post-punk, experimental noise’.

Performing in Russian, French and English, Shortparis are nothing but a discovery since they aim to provide a fitting soundtrack to their everyday lives, a sound that mirrors St. Petersburg as it was and is. ‘You know, I constantly dream of coming across bands like Shortparis yet so rarely do,’ writes John Doran of The Quietus.

‘Ambitious, bombastic, incredibly pretentious, erotic, thrilling, impossible to pin down, vaguely deviant, fun to dance to and full of revolutionary potential. Sure, if you listen carefully enough, you can hear them laughing, but you would be a fool to make the mistake of presuming that they’re joking.’

The event is accessible to people with physical disabilities.

You can buy tickets at a promotional price online, as well as in the entire Gigs Tix sales network.
