Studio M is the trademark of Radio Novi Sad and is one of the recognizable symbols of the city, which has served as a multimedia meeting place for numerous artists from the country and abroad for more than half a century. Although it was built in the 1960s, it is still the only space that combines a concert hall and a recording and broadcast studio.
Studio M is a studio-concert hall which, although it has hosted many soloists and ensembles, is primarily intended for the orchestras of the radio station.
Studio M is an architectural masterpiece by Pavel Žilnik, for which he received the October Award of the City of Novi Sad. The construction of the building, conceived as a large studio of Radio Novi Sad, began in 1959, and it was officially opened on Republic Day and the 16th birthday of Radio – 29 November 1965.
The spectacular exhibition by the name ‘Milutin: Time and Universe’ at Studio M is a journey of a kind, from darkness to light, and from chaos to space, through a multimedia blend of digital and analogue artistic expression.
