Doček’s New EDM Event at the Museum of Contemporary Art of Vojvodina on 13 January

Novi Sad DJ, producer and musical maverick Space Motion, one of the most respected and sought-after artists on the EDM scene today, will perform at Doček in Novi Sad alongside Undercatt, another big star on the electronic scene.

The dynamic and varied sets Space Motion & Tribe offer will be part of the music programme on 13 January from 10 p.m., which the Novi Sad audience will get to enjoy at the Museum of Contemporary Art of Vojvodina, which will host fans of techno and house following the global trend of combining such spaces and electronic music.

Space Motion has been present on the local scene for almost two decades, and in recent years his parties have led him on a world tour from Ibiza, via Delhi, Dubai, Beirut and Paris, all the way to the unforgettable afterparties at EXIT, promising us a great party on 13 January with recognisable rhythms in a space that preserves the contemporary heritage of national arts. Space Motion’s contribution to electronic music is remarkable, as evidenced by the fact that he has dominated the world’s top playlists, streaming channels, music download charts and DJ charts for the past few years, earning support from some of the world’s leading stars in melodic techno, progressive, trance and tech house genres, with his unmistakable superb bravura. Space Motion’s incredible energy and production have earned him international recognition among leading music influencers, but also among the global club community, as he strives to usher in a new wave of underground music with his interpretation, leaving his loyal fans, followers, colleagues and critics eagerly awaiting his next move. He will be joined by Undercatt, who performed at one of the biggest electronic music festivals, Tomorrowland, and who became part of Solomun’s Diynamic family in 2014, as part of the Space Motion & Tribe programme.

In addition to the Space Motion & Tribe programme, this year’s representative of Serbia at the Eurovision Song Contest, Konstrakta, will perform at Doček on 13 January, along with the band Zemlja Gruva, at the Serbian National Theatre. Shortparis at Fabrika, London stars Haelos at the Youth Theatre, Sana Garić at the Svilara Cultural Station and Đorđe David and Ivana Peters at the Barka Cultural Station, are all bringing the rock sound, each in their own unique way. Classical music virtuosos Ke Ma and Shihan Wang, along with the Silk & Wind duo, will hold a concert at the Novi Sad Theatre, and the best jazz band from Serbia, EYOT will hold a concert at the Egység Cultural Station. Croatian live techno band ABOP will perform in Radnički Dom, while our famous singer of spiritual and ethno music, Danica Crnogorčević, is awaiting us at the Serbian National Theatre.

Tickets are already sold out for the performance of one of the greatest contemporary jazz pianists Tigrana Hamasyan at the City Concert Hall, African R’n’B princess Nneka at the Synagogue, one of the most recognized European world music violinists Félix Lajkó at the Reformation Church, a singer whose voice breaks boundaries and fills the performance halls, Tijana Bogićević at the Cultural Centre of Novi Sad, as well as for the concerts of the Dutch musical diva Sevdaliza at the Serbian National Theatre, the world-famous group Divanhana at the ‘Laza Kostić’ Grammar School and the legendary YU Grupa with an unplugged set in the Great Hall of the NIS Business Centre. Support for this programme at Doček was provided by the NIS company.

As part of Doček on 13 January, at the Bukovac Cultural Station, a children’s programme will be organised by the Association of Artists Visoko C, and there will also be a performance by the incredible women who make up the La Banda tambura ensemble. A fusion of sounds will be brought to the Rumenka Cultural Station by the band Kal, while a special artistic programme provided by local organisations in the newly opened Kovilj Cultural Station. Admission to their performances will be free.
