Concerts are almost sold out

There is a great interest in concerts within Doček on 13 January, thus 90 percent of the total capacity has been sold out for the announced performances. For this very reason, the ‘Novi Sad – European Capital of Culture’ Foundation is organizing another deal that will last on 9 and 10 January, during which the audience will be able to buy two tickets for the price of one.

Anyone interested can purchase tickets for concerts with numbered seats at the Gigs Tix office in Pariski Magazin, while tickets for non-numbered concerts can be purchased from the entire Gigs Tix network, as well as online on their website.

At Doček on 13 January at the Museum of Contemporary Art of Vojvodina, Space Motion & Tribe, a DJ, producer and musical maverick from Novi Sad will perform along with Undercatt, another big name of the electronic scene. In a similar rhythm, the Croatian live techno band ABOP will perform in Radniči Dom. The Youth Theatre will host stars from London Haelos. The winner of the Elle Style Awards Konstrakta and Zemlja Gruva are coming to the Serbian National Theatre. Rock, indie and alternative sound, each in its own unique way, are brought to the Fabrika by Shortparis, at the Svilara Cultural Station by Sana Garić and by Đorđe David and Ivana Peters at the Barka Cultural Station. Classical music virtuosos, Ke Ma and Shihan Wang, together with the Silk & Wind duo, will hold a concert in the Novi Sad Theatre.

In less than a month, tickets have already been sold out for the performance of one of today’s greatest jazz pianists Tigrana Hamasyan in the City Concert Hall, African R’n’B princess Nneka at the Synagogue, one of the most recognized European world music violinists Félix Lajkó in the Reformation Church, a singer whose voice breaks boundaries and fills the performance halls, Tijana Bogićević in the Cultural Centre of Novi Sad, as well as for the concerts of the Dutch musical diva Sevdaliza in the Serbian National Theatre, the best jazz band in Serbia EYOT in the Egység Cultural Station, the world-famous group Divanhana in the ‘Laza Kostić’ Grammar School, a singer of spiritual and ethno music, Danica Crnogorčević in the Serbian National Theatre and the legendary YU Grupa in the unplugged edition in the Great Hall of the NIS Business Centre. Support for this programme at Doček was provided by the NIS company.

As part of the Doček on 13 January, the Association of Artists Visoko C will organize the programme for children in the Bukovac Cultural Station, and the great girls who make up the tambura ensemble La Banda will perform there. A fusion of sounds will be brought to the Rumenka Cultural Station by the Kal band, while a special artistic programme will be implemented by local organizations in the newly opened Kovilj Cultural Station. Admission to their performances will be free of charge.
